? about tether switch

I have been reading on here and from what I have gathered even though the bikes are advertised with a tether cord that most XC/MX models are not coming with one. Is this correct?

Any info would be appreciated.

from what ive seen in dealerships and from ppl who bought them they seam to be kinda rare. Theyre alwas in all of the advertisements though...prob just a marketing ploy. But dont worry a Tether is about $20-$30 and takes roughly 20min to install.
