Weird stuff!!
Just be carefull, light stays on means major fault vs. minor flashing.

You got it the wrong way round.
Flashing light - major fault
Light on continuosly- minor fault, fault code stored and needs resetting / rectifying
Should have it connected to a computer today.

Opps your right, happens when you get older like us dads, memory fade, lights on but nobody' home. LMAO!
I think our main advice fix it before it gets worse or you get hurt.....again, fatherly advice we both seen what can happen to our boy's from minor or major faults.

Ok here's the results
Fault code p1600
Gauge missing, faulty or not connected properly.
Dealer told me he couldn't reset the light and just ride it with it on.
I'll wait till I catch up with the xteam at the next race and hook it up to there budds and see what they come up with.

Manual says to check for damage between diagnositc connector 1-2 and ECM B1 and C1...Not sure if the dealer told you that, probably, but yeah sounds like a BUDs connection error, safe to ride, just deal with the light no biggy.
Guess I better stop assuming everyone is a kid out here, happens when your 50.

#az988-1ct-12dcir is the manufacturers part no. O'rreilys will have their own part number system.
