frame guards and plastic protection
I am somewhat anal about my toys and when I bought my first quad last year (I am 40 and bought my first dirt toy-06 Honda 400EX) guys ragged on me about trying to keep it from getting overly scratched up. I understand these things take a beating, but still like to keep the areas of heavy wear somewhat protected. It seems on the Can Am it is the plastics that get rubbed by the boots, area just below the seat and before the frame. Also, the frame to a small degree. Now I have seen a guy selling some "frame protectors" on Ebay which was nothing more than pre-cut yellow vinyl with adhesive backing. I was toying with the idea of buying something like that for the plastics that get rubbed by my boots. Anyone else consider or do something similar?
