Best Sprocket/Rotor Guards

So I bent my stock XC skidplate after the first day of hard riding. What does everyone recommend for replacement? I've seen the offerings from BCS and also the Blingstar items (too pricey). Just wondered if there are any alternatives out there?

I like how the Blingstar piece has notches cut into the O.D. of the disc. I've seen/read that those notches can help to propel you forward if you were to get hung up on a tree or other obstacle. The BCS is just a smooth O.D., but also appears to be what Bithell is running.

Thanks!

I have the BCS rotor and the sprocket guard. The rotor guard is real nice but the sprocket guard is plain and heavy, it has a few dings in it but it hasn't bent yet. They both went on with no problems.

If that's what they go for ($$) & hasn't been improved since... I would go with a Blingstar. They look so much better & look a lot better in terms of protection as well. Blingstar may be a little more $ but id say its worth it.

I just ordered the BCS Shark Fin and Sprocket Guard. Also the Inline Cooler, a couple filters, and the front sprocket washer/retaining bolt thing.

Thanks for your help Greg! Much appreciated. Everything sure went together easy. I think CanAm needs to fire the gorilla they've got at the factory tightening the axle nuts though!
