rear brake issues

yes i know they have issues.. but i am broke...at my last race about halfway through my brakes went from squeeeling to absolutely no pressure..just thought normal can am rear brake stuff..i slowly got a brake back but no pressure in the pedal at all. i ordered a new can am rotar guard with teh honda pattern so i can slap a new caliper on but have run out of $$ for the time being.

so i thought i would just work on these to see what can be done for the next month or so until i can afford the new caliper. well i tried for about 30 minutes to gain back up pressure tono avail. the fluid barely flows into the tube. so i said eff it i will throw on my brand new spare caliper.. same thing.

Is there anything else i should check out? everything looks like it is in place..just dont want to spend $75-$125 on a new calper just to find out it was something else.

thanks

Vac pump to bleed rear brakes. If no fluid then brake lines like mikesr stated.

Take banjo fitting off of caliper. Pump brake pedal and see if anything comes out.

If fluid comes out, then you will want to rebuild the caliper.

If no fluid come out, disconnect hose from master cylinder. Blow air through the hose. If air goes through hose, then you will have to rebuild master cylinder.

If no air goes through, then something is clogging the hose. You will have to clear it some how, or get new hose

I'm not very rear brake happy but in my 2010 XMX i've never had a rear brake issue, my rear brake is awesome, seriously strong and i never lost pressure or braking power...
