Front Fender Extensions...
Just saw these on the CA site today... kinda odd, never seen such a thing before:

I seen them way back in 08 when I first pondered the DS idea, didn't see a point since the front fenders are sturdy enough.

They keep the mud off you better. I know in races where it pours rain, some guys take the lids to plastic totes and mount them from the front fenders to the nerf bars. It helps a little.
