Removed Front Fenders

Hey guys, I took my fenders completely out to "cheese cut" my ds for ventilation, I`m riding around at 45º C and fuel BOILS!. I was wondering why people don't use their DS this way, I'd looked around for pictures but haven`t find any. So, this is what my DS looks like right now and I pretty much like it. Just took off the grafic kit, new one on its way.

Your thoughts?

well some people do run it like that, others dont....and i dont...cuz i think it looks stupid. but thats me....its your bike though man do what YOU like! some people dont like bedliner or plasti-dip but i do and my DS shows it lol....

but seriously most people probably dont because it offers zero protection from mud and rocks.....and where most people ride, there are mud and rocks. so there ya go

so are you asking about the look of the fenders or why your fuel boils? Not being sarcastic, just wondering if you're inquiring about the fuel boiling

I was asking if there are any drawbacks from removing the fenders since I haven't seen pictures of a DS with the fenders completely removed as mine.... only race cuts. I'll try it this week end, if I don't like them I'll bolt them right up again....

then ya, just as hcomras stated, rocks, mud, etc...would be the main one! If you hit a track that has even been watered a bit it will throw it straight at your face!

To each their own. I like the race cut fenders my self. But that does look kind of cool also. As long its not on mine.

drawbacks besides not having fenders doing what they're meant to do? no not really....there are a few people doing it....popular with the sand guys and drag racers since they dont need em....

Wow, that won't work for me. I run full fenders and lights without Swiss fenders and don't have any fuel issues. That would be neat on a asphalt quad

I also run full fenders and headlights and had to swiss cheese the fenders. Just wait until your tank vapor locks.
