Utah to Glamis....rejet wife's bike???
K...so my wife rides a Polaris Trailblazer 250...she'll maybe put 3 hrs ride time on it when we're there next weekend. Do I REALLY need to rejet it? It's a pain in the ass to do so I'm wondering how lean it'll be.
I called the local polaris shop and they said I only needed to go up by 1 jet size...so i'm wondering if it will be that incredibly dangerous.

well glamis is sea level (sorta, actually lower i think) and utah is....um...not. i would rejet. or....since its not like super duper hard to rejet, more of a pain, just get down there, see how it runs, mess with the air screw, check your plugs and go form there. if you need to, rejet it down there. there are a few shops down there too if you need parts.

i would just bring the jet with, you can tell easily if those blazers are running lean, then just change it out there if it is, better than burning it up. although my wife used to ride one before we got the ranger and it only had a k&n in it and w e would go from glamis to flagstaff, which is about 8000' and we never rejetted it

i think flag is 7500, or close to that, the cinders are right around 7700, that is where we ride up there. we got the ranger for her when my son was born, he is 2 now and will be getting a 50 for his third bday, i have a 12 year old daughter too who had a 90 but never rode it, she is content riding in the ranger also, my boy however, cannot wait for his quad, he has a power wheels kawasaki that is too slow for him already! hey how far are you from coral pink? we might try to make a trip there maybe this august

Right on! How different is your DS at sea level?
I'm about 5 hrs from Coral Pink...This glamis trip is my buddies from Phoenix and Salt Lake all meeting. We/They also have meets in Coral Pink..it's about 1/2 way for everyone..

Isnt the trailblazer a 2 stroke ? If it is then I would just mix my fuel a little richer for the weekend. I used to live in Garnerville Nv at 4300 ft and ran my CR 250 down here in Cali a few times riding with my brother and all I did was mix a little richer.

it is a 2 stroke but it is not premix, it has a separate oil tank...wonder if you can manipulate that or not.
