It comes setup for exhaust air filter and air box removed. There is more info on motorworks web site.

Stock settings in Motoworks FMI not good enough?

Hey guys, check this out. I had my bike Dyno'd today at alba action sports in San Diego.

With the motoworks factory settings it was running dangerously lean at 15 to 1. We called Dobeck and they walked us through some modifications to the map. The result was a ratio of 13 to 1 and we gained about 1.5 HP. It's also alot nicer on your engine that way (heat I think). They also said to do the pink wire mod which I was told you should not do if you're running with an FMI.

So, some information for you to consider. Not sure what you have but I've got a 2008 DS 450 with an EHS racing lid, Motoworks SR4 pipe, Motoworks FMI, pink wire cut.

Here's the dyno...

Yeah, that's what they said. Dobeck said that the we would have to go outside the available window (range of settings) of the FMI. To get it anywhere close they said the pink wire mod was a must. I wasn't so sure, bit the numbers don't lie I guess. You've got a PC5, so maybe the window is bigger then motoworks FMI??

I think the window for PC V is like 250%, up from 100% with PC III? Might just be too early in the morning to think though....

The local dealer kid races a 450x and told me the same thing. Said you must cut the pink wire. I have not done it yet and forgot even where the damn wire is located.
