Mod questions

I bought a new 08 ds 450x a couple weeks ago and after reading a lot of information on this forum about the 'pink wire mod' I have a question about it. Well, more of a clarification I guess.

The free mods possible for the bike are taking the spark arrester out, the air box lid off, and cut the pink wire? Anything else along the lines of free? Also, does cutting the pink wire void the warranty?

If I add just a slip on exhaust to the bike, do I need to solder the pink wire back together?

If you get a slipon leave the pink wire cut unless you get a fuel controller. Some dealers might say it will void the warranty but my dealer had no problwm with it.

will a pc5 work on a 08? i work a vvcms and my parts book said it takes a pc3.

PC5 works just fine with the 08s (that's what I am using on my 08).
