Was thinking there was something like that. I read some other topic somewhere where people would borrow an auto-tune, get it tuned, then give it back. I just want to see how far off my map is that I am using now (when I get the auto-tune shortly)
From what I understand about autotune is no matter what tracks you run, no matter what the load on the motor or atomoshpere, the map will be adjusted to it, a power map 14.7:1……. I don’t think that means adjust to baseline maps. The “open” loop no autotune stock system will adjust +/- to the baseline MAP within it's capability, say 30%....Its usually rich since there is no O2 input, fuel drowns out oxy before exiting exhaust. An autotuner closes the loop, reads EGT and O2 to remap or send voltage to the injector to +/- fuel. If the engine is running lean for example, all fuel is burned, and the extra oxygen leaves the cylinder and flows into the exhaust. In this case, the sensor voltage goes lower. Remove it the O2 then the input is loss, open loop takes over runs rich again.
