Motoworks FMI tuning

This is a discussion on Motoworks FMI tuning within the Dyno/Tuning Room forums, part of the Can-Am DS450 Tech Discussion category; I'm pretty sure when the motor bogged down it was on the red mode(main jet) I don't know if the other ones will do that....

do you the installation and tuning instructions? It has the default/stock mode on there...I would start there and try tuning again..

I think mine is not working, well hit and miss. Some rides great, then others.. starts and idle funny but turn off and restart then its ok. Sometimes any hard throttle it dies. I moved it and change ground so I can temp to keep a eye on it. Fab up a quick mount to tune. I will play before I will say its a lemon. Bike ran alsome before I added fmi.

I mounted mine inside where the tools come from the factory under the seat and ran my ground directly to the negative on the battery and it runs great with settings from the factory. That's why I like to keep these things simple slip on and airbox lid off is all I will ever do with my motorworks fmi. Bike makes great reliable power and I'm winning races

Ya I will put mine back after I figure it out. My tool area got to much mud and water so I made a bracket over the air box. If it ever stops raining I will put a video up. Alsome you won some races! Well.. the quad is a given lol.

Hello,

My name is Kristof and I live in Belgium.

I have a 09 DS450X with following mods:

* Full SRG2 Motoworks Exhaust
* Air lid removed with moose airfilter
* Motoworks FMI
* Pink wire cut

I have tried with not cutting the pink wire, but did not get the wanted results.

Brandon from motoworks advised me to not cut the pink wire, but with checking the co2 levels I did not get the results I wanted.

These are the settings I've been using for about 2000km with very good results!!

Factory settings My settings
Green: 1.5 2

Yellow: 4 5

Red: 2.5 4

Gr/Bl: 8 8

Yel/Bl: 4 4

Red/Bl: 4 4

Here in Belgium we are just a bit higher than sealevel.

Ron is 98 in Belgium.
