Default nitrous

ok so i sold my dasa build yesterday , hence i had some money to play with .....stumbled on a nitrous oxide system and i couldn't help myself ....so i ordered and i also ordered a new piston in a slightly lower compression 12.0:1 cause the thought of running nitrous with 13.0:1 head kind of scares me ....now i must look for clutch springs cause the torque out of this thing with an extra 25hp is gonna be devastating anyway i cant wait to see what happens Is there anyone else that has ran nitrous in the ds yet ??

dry or wet kit? i thought about doing a little motor work and spraying it, not sure yet.
its way cheaper to spray a 20-30 shot and get 70-80hp than it is to build a motor to hit 65...

hell ya much cheaper .....its a wet kit ....u can run a dry kit with the fuel managment computer but when ur not sprayin ur gonna run rich and foul the plugs and ull be a slug....the only thing that sucks is im gonna have to run race gas most likely , which i was tryin to avoid

well i was thinking of a dry kit, and then just play with the fuel from 6K+ rpms, and get a wide open throttle activation switch, so when im just putting around it wont foul plugs or run crappy, but when im spraying its got the fuel when im WOT. yeah gonna have to run race gas when u spray

why do you think it will toast the motor? i know of people putting hundreds of pounds of n02 through their motors without rebuilds. its perfectly safe if tuned correctly...

yea i dunno...had a bad experiance with nos on my 22re race motor that WAS tuned and built professioanlly...ended up throwing a rod and destroyed a piston, not to mention fry the seals. i mean, if your gunna tune the ecu to add massive amounts of fuel to compensate, then yea when its runnin nos itll be fine...but i have seen it happen too many times where the ecu isnt tuned right and ends up running waaaaay lean. plus anytime you toss in zub zero air into a combustion chamber thats running...i dunno...10,000 degrees? seems like bad things are bound to happen. im a fan of all motor..but like i said, more power to you id love to see it done! dont want my one bad experiance to ruin everyone elses fun!

the kit i got is a wet kit it pumps extra fuel in with the nitrous....this way the mapping does not have to be changed and the bike wont have to run rich when im not spraying......reliability is a big factor to me , but u cant make an omelet without breaking a few eggs
