Clutch and chain issues

Ok so I just got an 08 x series and I'm just kinda goin through it makin sure everything is up to snuff. I've noticed the clutch is a little out of adjustment and the chain is way too loose. On the clutch is there an internal adjustment? And for the chain do I just raise the tensioner or is my chain just stretched out? Also lookin for suggestions for a mild build. Already got a k&n and a dg o series slip on.

you need to loosen the swingarm carrier bolts and spin the carrier to get the slack out of chain

There is supposed to be 7/8ths of an inch play, more than any other quad.

If the 10-15mm(3/8-5/8) play at the lever is lost there is an adjustment at the cover but this means the clutch plates are worn, you don't want them to break if you have a stock basket so I'd replace the clutch at that point. If you want some help adjusting a worn clutch let me know but your running a risk.

I know a guy that ran a HC piston/race gas, intake, MW slip on with no fuel controller in New Mexico, just pink wire cut, ran great at his location you could try it, any more mods you may be into the expense of a fuel controller.

Yes rider on at several locations along the upper chain, 7/8 constant is correct or replace. If constant adjust by installing a screw driver from the tool kit in the sproket hub into chain tensioner, move the quad fwd to increase free play, adjust to 7/8 by loosening and tightening rear axle bolts to 48Nm(35ft-lb)......we drilled these axle bolts holes through and put nuts on to get more torqe since they were coming loose.
