I'm sponsored by the local Yamaha shop and have run Yamalube Syn 4R in everything I've had for years. I run a little bit of Lucas Stabilizer with it and have seen excellent clutch, ring and gear life since 2003 when they first started carrying it. I run the 20W oil in the summer and the 5W in the wintertime. My cost is about Three bux less than retail so it is very economical for me. Chances are it's just Yamaha's label on an oil mfg'rs product. Kinda like Bel Ray making a lot of Honda's oils.

We've tried every oil out there and we found the best oil. We tried all the synthetics and semi synthetics but I was just burning up clutches and blowing top ends like crazy. We switched to Castrol 10w 40 and We haven't had any problems since then. I will ride it in the practice bike 6 or 8 rides and it comes out almost as gold as when it went in. I have to say I think it is the best oil for motocross.

i went to get oil and was going to pick up the Castrol 10W40 4 stroke oil but it didn't specify if it was for a wet clutch. Valvoline did say it was for a wet clutch so i bought that instead.....bad choice or both the same...???

I'm pretty sure there is no difference. As long as its the 10w 40 your good. Its like $5 a quart and its the best oil.
