Header material, header wrap, rust??

So....I LOVE the looks of header wrap on the bike but have read that it can rust out the header fairly quickly due to trapped moisture and extreme temps...

Titanium won't rust so I was curious what our header was made of...also if anyone has had any experience w/rusting and header wrap..

TIA...

think the stock one is chromoly steal. U could ceramic coat it first than wrap it.

it says on the site that it's stainless steel...I love the look of it and it would keep heat off all the hoses, tank, etc...

huh. I guess I never used the stock header. I have the rossier and its stainless to. I just ceramic coated mine because it looked bad cause it was so roasted and to help lower heat transfer a bit. Stainless steal Cant rust in its self. But depending on where the steal was made shipped with exc. It can turn a redish color from Fe being embedded in the surface layer of the pipe.
