break-in, need more power!!!

I have my new DS MX 09 with only two tanks:

- Airbox lid off
- Spark arrestor on
- No pink wire cut

So the quad is not enough powerful.... is that normal? what i need?

Also the sound of the quad is horrible with the stock exhaust and the spark arrestor.

This sunday i have a race, and i will install a FMF complete exhaust, change oil, and hope my dealer put the race ecu map and the quad will become faster.

Agree, slip-on, intake, and pink wire gave the bike a much higher feel of torque and throttle response... I wasn't sure i made the right decision until I put on the upgrades. This thing rips now!
