Valve Shim Diameter

Anybody know the valve shim diameter to use on the DS. Need to adjust my valves before the next race. I have a hot cams shim kit that is 9.48 mm diameter. Will this work? Want to make sure these will work before I pull it apart. Only have one weekend to work on it!

Well that sucks! Where can I get 9.98 shims? I see you can get 10mm kits, but have not found any 9.98mm kits yet

Well I would just order them from the dealer, but I am trying to do everything in one weekend lol. I am about two hours away from the quad and between now and the next race I only have one weekend to work on it. Unfortunately I was stuck with working most weekends in May, which sucks!! So I don't know what size I will need until I tear it apart, I don't live near the dealer, and kind of need the shims at the same time. I may call and make sure the 10mm ones will work, dunno what I am going to do yet.

not using the right shims isn't good your clearanceses will be off and your motor will run poorly!!!

The DS uses its own shims. I don't know of any aftermarket ones yet.

The 9.48 will work fine. We have been using them no problems.
