kick start conversion
Does anyone know if they have a kick start conversion like the ltr and kfx. I was thinking brp hasnt designed yet cause they have a differnant motor and the efi but both the ltr and kfx have efi too. if you know of a link just let me know!

I'd like to see what they did w/the battery....it's why to wake the ECM and the fuel pump up for starts. It be nice to get rid of it, prob w/EFI. Got a link to LTR/KFX kit description please post it.

Don’t know much about the ltr and kfx efi but the DS battery can not be removed like the ltr. Reason is it’s not only needed by the ECM/fuel pump to build pressure for starts, but also provides supplemental power combined with the stator for electronics. I’m speculating here, but the ECM is a microprocessor and it’s efficiency depends on the speed at which it can process info from sensors rated in milisecs, that and the time it take to process AC=> DC by the rectifier, that lapse is where the battery comes in for EFI circuit efficiency. The electromagnets for one that operate pistons, plungers, would be less efficient w/voltage drops and the way this quad is designed stop working with no battery power. That’s the way BRP designed the circuit and they are know for state-of-the-art technology, which unfortunately does not lend itself to removing the battery, starter, solenoid, etc. Probably the reason why noone has come out with it, I’d imagine BCS or MW’s done it by now if it were possible, or let’s say efficient.
