Hard starting

I have an 08 ds450 stock maybe 3/4 tank of gas ran through it. I seems to be hard starting after I kill it. When I was loading it up yesterday, I killed it going up the ramps. Went to start it and it cranked and cranked and cranked, cycled the key and waited a few seconds and it cranked and cracked then fired right off. The second time I just turned the key off and waited about 3 minutes and she popped right off within a reasonable amount of cranking.

Besides better clutch control and not killing it, any ideas???

let the fuel pump stop before cranking, When u turn ur key on the fuel pump kicks on and if u do not let it finish before cranking it impossible to get it going, if u are crankin after u let it stop and it wont start, stop cranking let the fuel pump pump more fuel into the cylinder than crank but usually if u let the fuel pump stop before crankin it starts right away. it is especially important to be patient on the fuel pump when u stall the bike, for some reason u gotta let it do its thing when u stall or wipe out

So learn to be more patient and have better hearing. I can do one of the above. I usually wait for the first start up and it fires right off. So after a stall it takes longer and that's when I can't hear it.
