Yeah I'd like to know too. There's a station with e85 like 10miles from my house and its really cheap compared to anything high octane

I don't dyno tune bikes for a living so don't know all the details. My dyno man has all the bikes and quads on it in our area. Way he explained it to me is since it burns faster, dets less, he doesn't have to advance the timing as much to get spark to the power stroke faster, he tunes with the MAP, Cams, valve timing and over-lap.....Any good dyno dude can do this.

It won't hurt anything to try it, if your not set-up for or the EFI won't work with it, it will just run like crap then flush it out and go back to petro.

Hcomras: LA, I grew up went to HS/college in El-Segundo/Manhattan Beach, South Bay by LAX....

I dunno, my son just buys E-85 at the gas station pump. I was at work to pay the dyno bill when they tuned it, sorry I am not of more help.

So realistically you could get a PCV/III, install it and have the dyno shop tune it to run on 91 and see the results and then run E85, tune it and then look at the results. If its comparable then HELL YEA!!!

I can't recall how much the tuning is but I remember that 3 dyno runs w/out tuning was about $50...

I dunno how it stacks up to 91 it be interesting to see. We did dyno runs compared to $12 gal VP110 w/ a 13.5:1 piston, mid grind race cams, no epoxy port, 495 big bore, PC5….If I remember right we didn't see a lot of power difference but the gas was $10/gal cheaper in our area. We might of gained a pony or two, not enough to mention.... when your already seeing over 50 and 37 ft-lbs of smooth torque either way.

I would think alot depends on what mods and how good a dyno tuner/engine builder.
