bcs clutch basket
Does anyone know what this does, what's it for, where it goes?
No directions at all. Tried to call BCS today but no answer

I think you could be right, you do know your Can-Am's. I thought it could be an alignment apporatus of some sort, but now I'm going with ninja star.
Hell, it ain't my bike anyway!

it lock's the basket in. I put one on mine when I put it in.

Yeah, I put it on under the huge nut that keeps all the clutch together. Make sure the ninja star parts slip into the hub then put the nut back on. Once the nut is tight, bend up the side bits to lock it. It was kind of a pain to bend the parts up but I just used a screw driver to pry it out. Seems to hold pretty well.

And the rivets I guess just grind or drill them out?

Hope the picture helps. As far as drilling out the rivets, that's what they told me to do. However, I did it the old fashioned method and just let the engine do it for me (that's why I replaced it).

Thanks guys for the help. Got the clutch all finished and put back together last night. Now its time to put in an exhuast cam on the intake side?? Whatever, I guess it supposed to help...something.
