Question ds450x heating problems

Dudes, Just got my 2008 ds450x back from the dealer for heating issues, said nothing wrong, drove for 20 minutes and boiling again with engine light flashing. Appx.30 hrs on machine never any issues until now. Help, its out of warranty. stock ds with a rossier exhaust, pink wire cut and performance aircleaner. Never heated up before. we dont race it just pleasure riding on dunes and trails

first ck the radiator to make sure it is clean
did the dealer verify at what temp the fan cuts on? what temp did the thermostat open up at ? if they cannot answer this..... I hope they did not charge you.
does the fan work, is the fuse good?
the fan should come on at 205 degrees f and back off at 190 DEGREES
usually takes about 8-10 min idleing to get to that temp
do you have good anti-freeze in it ?
I suggest water wetter , it appears to work better than engine ICE.
we use yamacool

I asked BCS for CV4 hoses to ds 450 and they cost like 200$. I think it is too much for just good look.

Of course the dealer charged me $66.00 for resetting the light. I'll check the radiator and the fan coming on when it should. I called the dealer and told them it lasted 20 minutes b4 heating again, his reply was to bring it back on the 16th of sept. gotta love it.
Thanks for the ideas. I called Rosseir performance and they are going to check with brp for ideas i'll keep you all posted

when that happened to me it was because of air bubbles in the coolant lines. Just make sure that there is no air in the system. This mighta happened if you or the dealer emptied the coolant and than added some.

be sure the overflow is full.... if it is go to radiator and remove cap when cool check level then.... if full could be air in line or thermostat that is stuck from overheating caused from air in line...I would look at thermostat if full, good chance thats it !! have you ever checked coolant at radiator or had to add coolant? some times the overflowline can get a pin hole or small leak and will alow air into system instead of coolant!

Make sure your thermostat is not sticking closed. The CV4 hoses eliminate the thermostat.

Only prob w/that is the engine is not allowed to heat up which can cause wear below 70F I think it is when it opens. We got rid of it, not worth failing it.

I appreciate all your help. I will try the engine water wetter and see what happens. Now that its in the 70's and 80's it is holding its own. Above 90 its not happy. Does the water wetter provide freeze protection or do you drain all for winter?
