pitted cams

So I'm sending my bike off to the shop tbhis week with a spare set of cams for the guys to grind and play with...only problem is one of the cams (exhaust cam) is pitted on the lobe. My question is can it just be tig welded and ground or is it junk and should I just send it back?

It's gonna be ground, hardwelded and re-ground. Send it. There's a fair amount of the original base metal removed during the process.

The pitted cams are ok to send IF you're sending them to be reground. They will end up having a fair amount of the base metal removed and then be hard welded over it and reground to their final lobe profile.
