No problems with my 09 XC yet besides needing the clutch update done. Before the clutch update it squealed like crazy. After the update absolutely zero squealing.

Sometimes the engine stops, I donīt know why, it always happen when I go for a long time in straight line full throttle and then the engine stops.

+I have the same problem, after a while on full throttle...
+My rear sprocket gets loose.
+It revs up when strarting... that happened after I put on the HMF Slip on... I guess I need to get a PC.
Nothing else so far

nothing big! no case cracking, blown motors, efi problems. i'm going to be picking up a 2010 mx and i just want to know everything i need to be prepaired for

Depending on how you ride, the cases could still be an issue on 09s, but i think the 10s will have the solution.

Hey KLM 20, Your 09 xc needed the clutch update?? My 90 mx squeals a little but didnt think i'd need the update on the 09. I've had no problems and pounded it hard . Squeals only when it is cold.

I have a friend who has the same 09 xc as mine.
My clutch doesn't squeal while my buddy's does.
Manufacturing date of mine is 01/09
My friend's is 08/08
Perhaps is linked to the production date...
just my two cents
