Motoworks slip on and Rossier intake-good option?
I just bought a 450x due on Tuesday and looking for some simple mods to enhance the motor a bit. Usually intake/exhaust does the trick. Any real reason to get a full pipe over a slip on? It doesn't look like many options for either; I found LRD, Rossier, Motoworks and Yosh for pipes. Still trying to figure out the intakes; Rossier, Velocity? Will either of these add on's void the warranty?

i dont think an intake would void the warranty, but id def take rossier over velocity. and slip on over the full cuz the stock header is actually really good. i got the motoworks slip on, K&N filter with oversized flange and the programmer and couldnt be happier

Is an FMI necessary with just a slip on and intake? Any advantages or real differences between the K&N intake and Rossier? I know for my Honda 400 there is an ongoing battle with which is better; Uni (foam) or K&N (paper type).

ok well you will need to alter the fuel map so either cut the pink wire or get the fmi but yes you need to do one of these things its like not re-jetting but getting exhaust and filter it will lean out your bike waaay too much and youll have problems. the K&N isnt an intake, its just a larger flange and a larger filter, the rossier is a full intake system. i only got the K&N because it was cheaper and ive always had good experiances with them, plus you dont have to re-calibrate the fmi programmer for it, with the intake you do.

Is the LRD or Rossier that much better than the Motoworks? Someone had said both of those produce more than the Motorworks. First I don't want a full system so that would rule out the Rossier and secondly for a slip on I think the LRD is ugly compared to the Motoworks. I can deal with ugly if it produces that much better.

motoworks will give you the most power. That slip-on, and any ring style intake that allows a bigger filter will work well with just the pink wire cut. It will also give you plenty of power.
