Exhaust Cam Swap

I am swapping out the stock intake cam for a stock exhaust cam. I have read a number of posts on others doing this swap, but I have not read anything on the clearance after doing this. Does the valve clearance stay the same since both cams have the same lift, or will I need to change the clearance. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, for Both cams or only the new exhaust at the intake side? And why we need to retard the timing? Thanks!

retard the cam shaft ?
how do you do that ?
By misaligning the lines of by changing the mounting holes ?

you have to pull the timing gear in the bottom of the engine , then degree the cam and retard the "new intake" cam 3 degrees
it will run ok at o degrees ....... it is supposed to run better at 3 degrees retarded

only the new intake cam gets retarded (second exhaust cam)
the stock exhaust cam and timing stay intact!
