header wrap
pros-cons? i have always used that cloth header wrap on my trucks and my prerunner and even my bug, but never on a bike. are there any gains? i mean its open, so heat isnt really a factor, except maybe on your leg...anyone use it or used on in the past on a bike/quad?

i figured as much, but they all say the cool pipe helps increase power and what not, so didnt know if anyone had hands on experience with it.

the wrap hold hold the heat in the pipe ,which on a quad doesnt make sense because the head pipe has so much air moving by the pipe cooling it

I have seen it, I don't know the performance gains, if any. It won't hurt anything, so I would say try it, and see if you notice the difference.

i ran some on my rossier, got sick of starting my pants on fire lol. i think it may increase performance by a fraction of a % by keeping heat away from the motor.

OK when you buy a full exhaust system you get a stainless steel header. That header holds heat inside so it flows better. the mild steel stock head pipe loses heat which slows down air movement.
So that being said wrapping your head pipe will hold more heat in and increase power by a small %.
