type of spark plug ?
hello
this weekend at 100m from the finish line, my engine stopt running.
the spark plug head seemed to bee the problem because if i'm pushing it, it starts again for a few seconds.
i bought the NGK racing cables at my local can am dealer.
bud i saw that one cable says threaded terminal and the other cable says solid post terminal.
kind of a problem sinds i just found out that on the stock can am spark plugs you can't remove that smal top of the glowplug.
So now my question to the guy's that are running these ngk cables is, what type of glow plug do you run ?
this weekend i'm having the 4 round of the championship, and i don't wanna lose points because of a spark plug :s

I used to use the NGK Iridium tip same part @ as the NGK with an IR at the end
that was a really good plug ,
now we use the champion QA 55V which increases the compression ratio and will not foul due to oil presence. And the main reason ... I can make more "squish"

I use NGK Iridiums because canamracerdad said to. Better starting, no fouling, and smoother running are the results I got for listening.

You are probably using the wrong kind of sparkplug cap then, they are not suppost to be threaded for the ds. The wires you are suppost to use are: one CR-3 and one CR-4...try switching your threaded wire with the corresponding correct wire.

When I respond , I EXPECT that you are running STOCK or equivalent components unless you tell me that you have "special parts " that are modified from stock !
SO that we are clear.... you asked me what spark plug to run , I told you what we run , you said it will not work because you changed your wires ......
PUT THE CORRECT WIRES ON YOUR BIKE , and install the correct plugs and the problem you asked us to resolve will be repaired .

lol wrong plugs, wrong wires....no wonder your bike stopped running!
last thanksgiving i had some similar issues, the boot on the plug blew apart. new plugs, bought the NGK kit from BCS, works perfect, snug fit unlike the stock boots, they dont pop off, and plugs get a solid connection now so no more arcing. buy the NGK kit its worth it.

no i specially bought the ngk wires because i had troubles with the stock ones.
bud the stock spark plugs didn't fit on the wires, so i thought that i needed other spark plugs for those ngk wires.
bud it seems like my dealer just made a mistake and gave me wrong wires.
normally i will have the right wires tomorrow.
everybody thanks for your help, otherwhise i might have troubles again this weekend with those wrong wires.
