The parts are ordered, let the build begin.

So after many beers, searched forums and picking of brains (Thanks CANAMRACERDAD...) I've settled on the build sheet for my new DS450. Some parts are already ordered, and more coming as soon as I get home from where I'm working at this weekend. Here's what the first evolution will entail:

ENGINE:
-Moose Racing Piston kit by CP 13:1 compresion
-OEM Exhaust cam will move to the intake side and a Web Cams 590 exhaust cam will be dropped in its place.
-Porting and stainless valves by Allen at CT Racing.
-I'm sticking with the OEM injector for now, as long as I'm under 85% duty cycle to get the mixture right at W.O.T.
-FMF Fuel programmer
-FMF Mega Bomb header with Factory 4.1 back.
-Custom intake velocity ring with 4.75 inch clamp on K-N and Pro Design Outer wrap.
-Nology 9mm wires and Denso Iridium Plugs.
-Custom Oil cooler and CFM Tank.
-XF+ Waterless coolant by Zip-Ty racing and a CV4 5psi Rad Cap.

A bored throttle body will be in the second phase of the build if the top end suffers as is. I'm sticking with the stock bore throttle body for throttle response (I'm 6'5" 235lbs, sooo...) off the corners on the shorter tracks we have here in this District.

SUSPENSION:

-XMX front a-arms and shocks, Revalved and re-sprung by Clark Jones at Noleen J6 Racing.
-Powdercoated OEM swingarm.
-Steel linkage pullrod.
-RPM axle and American Star bearing carrier.
-XMX Dual rate conversion and revalve by Clark Jones at Noleen J6 Racing.
-GPR Stabilizer.
-CBR 600 Front master cylinder
-Douglas Champion in a box Wheels and Tires.
-Rath Signature Nerf Bars.
-Custom Rotor guard and Shark fin.

A full LT shock and a-arm package will follow next season sometime.

Wish me (and my wallet) luck.

Lots of the parts are here and more will be trickling in in the next few weeks/months. I'll try to document the build for you guys with photos and a dyno sheet once it's up and running. I'm shooting for a "reliable" 50-54 RWHP on 110 VP race fuel.

def pc5 with that motor build. the small piggyback fmi's are good, but to really get all the hidden hp outta it, youll need to fine tune it.

I'm currently under contract with FMF.
I see your point tho. Worst case I'll get the ECU reflashed by Motoworks and run the FMF pipe.

I'll make my own pull rod on the 5 axis CNC for way less than $90, LOL! Cam's stuff is nice, tho... Made my own velocity ring on the lathe and mill as well. $15 for a short piece of 6" 6061-t6 round stock plus my time.

The shock work retails for $755 for all three shocks, but Clark at Noleen J6 inc. has been a long time supporter. His stuff works amazingly well. He has an illustrious history from the days of the Noleen/Sizzler Yamaha Supercross teams and has collaborated with CT Racing on a number of builds for Dirt Wheels Magazine. Clark is also credited with bringing Ohlins shocks to the US as the suspension man for... you've heard of him, Gary Denton.
