okay,i have a 2008 ds 450x. i was racing a couple races ago, the last one of the season, and i needed to win.(mideast harescramble series) i came around the first lap and i was going up and lil hill with whoops, and next thing i know, my chain pops off. so i jumped off and put it back on, then i start going again, and it clanks reel badd then like locks up, even with the clutch pulled it. i had it off, in nuetral it rolled just fine, in gear with the clutch in, it clanked about three times, then itd stop, then it'd clank some more then like freeze up. the ds runs finee! just something with the transmission i think, idk, maybe you guys can help?

yeah all the gears work. i mean that as in, i shift it in first and it moves(still clanks) then it will lock up and if i dont have the clutch pulled in, it stalls the motor, if the clutch is in then it just locks up the tires

if you own a can-am, you'll learn real fast to be mechanical. I love working on my quad. i'd rather put together a whole quad rather than write a one page essay. its just a joy and experience. you will learn a lot. just follow the manual and if you have anymore questions you can look it up on here or ask!

yeah this is my first can-am. and my last! and i dont have any manual. and yeah i love working on fourwheelers, just not can-ams, there made so stupid. going to a honda
