Chain problems

Ok I've had my X XC since august and since then the chain has derailed 4 times. I have it under proper tension by the book. It only comes off while im turning, in the air, and when crossing logs, rocks, and anything that binds the wheels up. Now I really need new sprockets and a new chain. My rear sprocket has lost a few teeth and the front is ok. What is a good chain and sprocket kit out there? Im looking for steel sprockets.

I haven't had my chain come off on me yet but I do have a problem with the rear sprocket bolts coming loose on it. I have tried to retorqe the bolts and even retorqe and blue lock tight them, they still come loose on me. Does anyone have a idea on this.

check your bearing carrier, one symptom of chain derailed is damaged bearing.

Use red lock instead of blue lock on the rear sprocket bolts, i think one holds 20-40Nm and others only 10Nm

you sprocket hub is damage and you need to replace it. once its loose and you ride on it elongs the bolt holes out and youll never get it to stay tight trust me.

Why would you want steel sprockets? Do you have a chain guide? That would probably help keep the chain on

If that doesn't work the bolts are stretched. You'll have to buy new bolts and nuts then use red loctite when you install.
