SR4 slip on vs SR4 G2 full system

tried searching but couldn't find anything conclusive

Alright, so Christmas is coming and I'd like to get a new exhaust, but am contemplating a complete full system g2, or just buying a header for the SR4 that I already have.

Will I really gain that much more horsepower? or should I just save the coin, buy a header (what kind???) and buy an exhaust cam for the intake side?????

Thoughts....

Wow, valid question. Always heard the stock header flows good, but they sell full systems for a reason. I might want to call Motoworks and let them know what you are considering and see what their thoughts are. You are staying with their system so no real problems jumping brand you just want an honest opinion of the differences. Whether it be sound or more performance gains. When I called them a while back they gave me an honest answer and the reasons behind the answer. So there should not be a problem.

Just saw your quest on the exhaust cam swap in the for sale section. Have you read this thread: Exhaust Cam Swap. I'm not trying to be a d!ck. I would like further info on it as well. But it sound like you have to have the ex cam degreed for max performance, and I have no idea how to do that. I wonder if someone can degree the cam on another engine and then it will be the same for ours and if so who can do it for how much?

Not trying to hijack thread just wanting the same info and these have been my questions on it also for do it yourselfer.

no worries, I dind't find that one on the exhaust cam swap, will have to read through it!

I called Motoworks and they emailed me dyno sheets w/the old SR4 slip on, new SR4G2 slip on, and the new SR4G2 full system. Its enough of a gain for me to buy one.

Sr4 Slip on - 37
SR4G2 slip on - 42 hp
SR4G2 full - 43.35hp
