I would soak only the fibers, the rest won't absorb oil. Opinions vary from a couple of hours to overnight. I would throw them in oil tonight and install tommorrow.

Well not trying to get in a pissing match. But when I worked for Cat we soak clutch fibers for transmissions overnight and assemble the rest in oil. But hey that's only a $20 000 dollar transmission that takes about 24 hour to r&r and 40 to rebuild. So you kind of want to do it right the first time. On the John Deere trans and brakes we soak our fibers anywhere from 4 hours to overnight and assemble in oil also. They are in the same dollar range and time range also.

Like I said it's kind of a personal preference. I would soak the fibers in oil overnight as stated and assemble everything in oil. Hence nothing is dry.

Yep, if you feel more comfortable soak it all. But it would be a little overkill. What I would probally do is soak the fibers overnight. Then when I go to assemble clutch toss the steel plates in the oil while I'm getting ready. Then start to assemble the clutch.

Fibers yes in oil for atleast over night. As far as the steel plates there going to have oil on them as soon as u put everything together and add your engine oil. Also dont put everything together then go rip it up. Give ur clutch a little break in time
