valve cover leaking....anyone else?

Mines leaked a little ever since I redid the top last summer, but it was slow so I never really paid much attention. Quadracer12 also has a leaking valve now, but has not rebuilt the top end yet, so i'm wondering if its just a coincidence, a southearn Cali thing, or what? anyone else have this happening? I'm placing on taking it toa shop soon either way, but didn't know if this was an issue worth fretting over

Mine's leaked a little since last valve check. It leaks at front left corner. I thinks it's cause the gasket is grooved and if it doesn't sit in there just right or has a bit of dirt in it it wont seal all the way. It doesn't help when ya gotta be a magician to get the thing off and on either! I've wondered about using the Permatex copper spray along with the rubber gasket, if their compatible???

I have always had good luck by smearing the gasket with some really sticky grease the stuff that when you put your fingers in it, it strings for a few inches I think we use Kool red. This stuff helps not only locate the gasket but seal it as well. Hope this helps.

My race motor by rossier leaks too. Not to worried about it. I'm just going to take it off sometime and use some gasket sealant and retorque it all.

funny this came up, mine is in the shop right now cuz of this, in the exact same spot, top left corner, i overheated big time last dune trip and thought maybe that was the reason, seems that many of us are having this issue

Lmao good to know! DS19 I had Thumper Racing do it last year, it runs good (still have a slight tuning issue that's needs addressing) but coolant leading down the motor looks crummy especially when i'm trying to show the quad off haha. Mines on the left primarily as well...I'll look into gasket sealant when I take it back in for tuning...thanks guys for the reassurance haha
