You might be hard up to get the 55 HP but I'm betting that you will break 50. Maybe 50-52. Careful with web cams, alot of their grinds actually hurt the performance on the DS, depending on which grind you get.

The best cams your gonna get are gonna be your cusrom ground Cams from engine builders such as Rossier, DASA, or Ron woods. Charlie Rossier ran dyno's on 4 or 5 different grinds of cams from web cams and they all lost power. I'd stick with stock or engine builders.

itll be hard to get 55rwhp with no dyno tune either. like xrider said prob a solid 50-52 with the head work and piston and cam, but id get a more reputable cam like ron woods or just use the exhaust cam if a big money for a custom grind is out of the question.

Does anybody know what lift and duration the Rossier cams are. What dyno'd the best?
We were planning to send our cams to Webb and have them custom ground.

I'll look into the lift duration numbers and post ASAP. I'm gonna have alot of left over stock cams and other internal engine parts after the race motors are done so if anyone needs anything PM me,

Be careful with getting your stock cams reground, they aren't the strongest units out there. There have been some stock cam failures, which is why you see rossier and Ron woods offer the full cam for the DS without the Core swap that most others have. The billet ones are far stronger and more reliable.

when i talked to webcams they said they wouldnt hard weld the stock cams all they offer is new
and the cams rossier has had the best numbers with the research he did
intake .432 lift 269 duration
exhaust .380 lift 280 duration
he found the stock exhaust cam was to big
and the intake port also to big
