Racer Support package finally here, got some questions...
Hello guys, I have a question for you. I just recieved a call from the dealership and the racer package is here. My first question is what is all included in the package and can I install it myself. The only reason I am asking this is because the dealer wants $350.00 to instal the parts and I would rather do it myself. I already have the repair manual and I am definatly going to work on the quad myself to learn about it. Any Help would be appreciated. Thanks, bill

I am sure that you can handle the exhaust install. ANd the shocks if you got them.
I would try to install the exhaust, and whatever you are comfortable with. I am sure that you can handle the pink wire mod as well, Be sure to leave it hooked up if you install the fuel controller. the Box is a pretty straight forward to install.
If you are unsure of yourself, I reccommend that you do 1 mod at a time , then test when that mod is complete. This way you will be sure that each aspect of the kit is installed correctly, and you will minimize your later having to go back and figure out what was not done correctly in the event you make a mistake along the way. .

You have to take your quad to the dealer so they can flash your new ecu. They take the info from your stock ecu, like vin numbers and everything about your quad, and put it on the new one. Your dealer also need the stock ecu back. They get charged about $1,000 for each one, until they return the stock ones. You should be able to handle installing the rest.

hello Bill
your dealer is to install these parts per can-am. your dealer may let you if talk nice to them. my dealer charged me $200.00 to do these. the ECM has to be reprogramed by your dealer on his laptop and your old ecm sent back to can-am. you should get motorwokks4 muffler, ECM, battery box reenforcement, sub frame reenforcement, front a-arm bracket reenforcements, radiotor louvers, heat shield for tank, and antivibes for both coils ,pink wire cut & remove air box lid. when the radiator louvers are put on, the front plastic has to be cut and removed,so if your dealer does this make sure you want to cut up the plastic, the louvers are wider and stick out the sides. I did not have mine put on .I cut my new louvers down so i did not cut the plastic. 2008 modles also got a 4 row rear bearing carrier. if you wave any questions let me know

It will transfer all the info like serial numbers from your old ecu to the new one. I'm not sure if it will run different, but it might cause problems with the warranty.

Hmm i guess the warranty is void, but I have managed to get things covered. I think the proper way to do it is the way I said before, but I'm sure that not flashing it works fine too.

Probably a stupid question but, did you buy the package or does Can Am give them away?
