efi programmer

Has anybody used or heard of weaponmx efi programmer? Also I'm putting a motoworks pipe and plan on opening the air box on my ds450 and was wondering if I really needed a programmer. Any info will help. Thanks

I've read somewhere that the stock or race ECU for the DS450 will be able to switch settings to run well w/pipe and filter only setup. I don't think you "need" one but having one is beneficial to completely tune it to to optimal performance.

I will be getting the MW Slip on and filter/intake kit and don't plan on getting an EFI!

...you dont plan on getting an efi? i think you mean ecu, EFi is just the acronym for Electronic Fuel Injection. you dont have to get a programmer, you can just cut the pink wire, but like said a programmer will help alot. you can also get the ecu remapped throught the BRP racer support program

No, you will be fine with just the stock ecu and pink wire cut.

I saw that on Ebay too. I couldn't find any info out about it either. Just cut the pink wire, unless you do get a programmer then you don;t want to cut the pink wire

Back in august i was at a race and a guy on a LTR had a weapon mx full exhaust and programmer. i ask about it sence he was pitted right next to me and he said he loved it. he had always used yosh, so it must be pretty good stuff. . .i would get the efi programmer for fine tune ability, but i guess you don't have too. you'll have to at least cut the pinky though

I plan on getting a programmer, but for now is it okay to run the bike with the pipe and the air box lid off with out cutting the pink wire? Thanks for the info.

Yes, I run no programmer, pink wire cut, with all that and motor work.
