well the bore is 480cc, but the stroke is the same....cams are changed but they wouldnt tell me the lift or duration......a full port and polish on the cylinder head.....a valve job which they wouldnt get into the specifics of......Your throttle body will be modified to increase fuel and flow. The ECU will be re-mapped and the rev limit increased. The stock injector is replaced to increase the fuel flow. They also modify the stock intake for increased airflow and replace the stock cams for modified versions. And this is on a compression of 12.5:1 on pump gas , they said another 2.5 hp can be added by upping the compression to 13.5:1 and race gas....now the question to me is to buy and develop my own stroker or wait for a stroker to come out.

rageatvracing.com can do a stroker for you.
so can omwracing.com -> said he could stroke it 10-15mm but its gonna cost you some $$$$$$$

curious why you are looking to build yours bigger when u have a full dasa motor built? whats yours putting down?

i have three ds's presently but my dasa build was very early in 2008 when they didnt know much about the motor yet ....she only puts down about 48 hp......which i was able to match with just an intake cam change , exhaust , air intake modification , and fuel managment......to tell u the truth i bought from dasa way to early in the research and development process and i wasted my money, i have since opend my own shop and been able to do some tinkering and learning of my own on this engine .....so i wanna buy the bore kit and either develop a stroker or invest in one that has been developed already

I believe Falicon already has a stroker crank for the DS450. You might want to check them out.

Heres a list of our mods, we run a 495 w/about 50hp and 35 ft-lbs of smooth TQ excellent throttle response. Talked to Falicon about stroking/blue-printing this bore about $1100 4-6 months ago...this quad would scream allright but the reliability factor I did not want to persue. We proved this sleeve/piston/bore over the past year like you back then the 450 was too underdeveloped so we went big bore. We are going back to a 450 these days they can make this much if not more power. You want to buy this kit I'll sell it cheap you stroke this you will have one fast quad and I know the big bore is reliable we ran it all fall/winter got the bugs worked out next race two weeks it will in front of the TQRA open pro-class.

Terry, I am not sure about these motors but when you stroke a motor, usually it is much more reliable than trying to get the same displacement through over boring. I may be wrong and if I am somebody please correct me. But engine builders that I have talked to always prefer stroking a motor over boring it.
