Hate doing this, but selling the bike to finish school. Thats more important right now. I just finished building the bike this past weekend, most of the parts are brand new. Haven't rode it sense being built. Motor and frame have between 10-13 total hours. Located in Cedar Falls, IA.

Looking to get $7,500 OBO (WONT TURN DOWN REASONABLE OFFERS) Worst I can say is no!

Hi, I have recently had to replace my old engine due to it getting cooked. However with the new one it had some engine work done; High-comp piston, gassed flowed head and some cam work and I have put on a fmf Q4 system.

The first problem is that the engine is over revving whilst idle, the pink wire has been cut when I had the old engine. Due to the engine work, would this be solved with an EFI module such as the FMF system?

The second problem is that the engine seems to be getting hot very quickly. The exhaust system header pipe is glowing red in a couple of minutes, this is all whilst in neutral. The water pipes seem to be getting hot, but the water in the expansion tank seem to be reasonably cool, this give me the impression that the water pump isn't circulating water properly? But would this explain why the exhaust is glowing red so quickly?

Thanks

Hello everyone!
I have been roaming this site for a few weeks now and found a TON of info! Anyways bought a used 2008 DS 450 from a guy that did some track racing. It has +2 Holz A arms, +2 axle, FOX X shocks, KYB shock for the rear, aftermarket bars, kill switch and the intake ring, Motoworks SR4 full system, and he also said that it was tuned by Motoworks but I am not sure how to prove that. But my biggest question is were to go from here? I have a history of snowmobiles (from Wisconsin) not quads (now that I have the desert). Same story over and over again for all you veterans on this site haha Any help is awesome thanks for your time!

I purchased their oil tank for my ds450. Beautiful welding and tank. Once I bolted it in place the top hoses wont reach, you loose the factory oil filter-screen and the hose barb for the lower oil hose is to large and rubs the frame and is larger than the factory barb. I sent it back with a couple scratches on the bottom of the tank and they gave me 1/2 of a refund. Saying it is now a used tank. My complaint, Their add should tell you the hoses wont reach, you loose the screen and the lower hose barb is larger than the factory. If you dont mind changing all your hoses and the motor is out of the cradle or you have the skid plates off to go underneath, then probably will work for you. And of course you wont get your money back if not satisfied because apparantly they are afraid of a buffing rag to remove any small scatches you will add when fitting it into the frame. Just didnt feel they are being honest with their products:rocketwhore:
