Which Air Filter to Buy?

I run a full HFM exhaust, Motoworks FMI, and the Outerwears open airbox modification. I have been trying to choose an air filter for a long time now and I want the most power possible. K&N always makes a great filter, but I was wondering about the Velocity filter. I like the engineering that Velocity has put into theirs but do they last and actually make more power? I would like to hear from people who are running these filters or know someone who is. Thanks

K&N. love it. bushwacker has the velocity, i think he likes it, but something about it not fitting properly?

the velocity doesn't fit tight but you can get it to work, i wouldn't recommend it. I would look for a k&n type filter with a high ply rating. I wonder what ply rating BCS filter kit uses?

I have velocity, fits fine, can't complain a bit, pro design kit is nice

I think the stock foam filter it's good with the prefilter, also i'm using the pro design pro flow foam filter. I like the foam filters, like Uni filters.

But ok, if you want more power use the K&N, Velocity, Rossier, etc.

i use the K&N w/the larger ring(velocity stack i believe) and it works great! Lid off, keep clean and breathes great...you can hear the intake honk if you don't have a slip on!

i run the rossier kit, without an airbox and it added seat of pants power over the stock airfilter w/ box

Run a K&N here, works great! Stock filter is decent, but don't trust it longer then a year. After one season my stock filter was starting to rip and fall apart.
