Need help with idling problem

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this site and new to the DS450. I recently purchased a fully built 2008 DS450 and since I got it i've been having idling problems. When you initially start the bike it idles really low and eventually stalls. if you restart it it will run for about a minute and then restall; however, if you give it a shot of gas, it will idle really high. My friend both the same bike as me so we have swapped his thotle body, iacv, tps, ecu, relay's off of his bike and put them on mine and i'm still having the same problem. Please watch the video in the link below and let me know if you can help me in anyway to fix this problem.

Thank in advance!!

Justin

Swap relays, fuel pump, and battery one by one. I'm thinking bad or weak fuel pump regulator not holding pressure maybe. Sounds like she's running out of fuel to me, or electrical juice, leaning more towards fuel.

Hey TNT,
We did change de relay's. I brought it to my dealer and they did a fuel pressure test and everything was ok. I did not try the battery tho. I will try that.

Could bad valve adjustment do that ?! Or a leaking head / base gasket

What has been done to your throttle body? 50 mil? Green injector?

Yes it is bored out to 50mm and has the green injectors. My buddy has the same set up and it works perfect. I tried his throttle body on mine and mine still runs like crap.

Yes a head gasket leak can cause this exact prob, do a leak down on it too.....check the battery charge before and after you run it as long as you can see if it's charging or swap w/buddy....

I'll think about it more today....

It seems hit or miss... I have 2 with 50 mil TBs on them. One works really good, one does kind of like your does. If i start it while giving it gas, it idles high until I shut it off. If it starts with no throttle, it idles fine. A little rough, but not high.

ok, the only thing i find wierd is that i put my buddy's throtle body on with his tps and iacv (which works perfect on his) and it's still acting up. What about the sensor in the air box that mesures the barometric pressure or something, could that be part of the problem?

So lets back up a bit, you just purchased it did it have these problems then or did you do something then it had problems?

Sounds like you were at the dealer did they hook up to BUDs do you have any known fault codes?

What fuel controller?

Hey,
Me and my buddy bought two bikes from Can Am Motoworks. We did not start the bikes when we picked them up because they did not have any gas in them. As soon as i started it it was acting this way.

Yes i brought it to my dealer and they pluged it up to buds but there are no codes that poped up.

I was the original fuel controler with the motoworks remapped map.

Hope this helps your questions
