Buying '08 worth it?

I am from Belize (Central America) I've bought two Can-Ams from a dealership in Jacksonville, Florida. I've been reading about the recalls on these '08 DS 450s and was wondering if it is actually worth the $2000 off for a brand new 2008 Can am ds 450. I've gathered up these problems: Clutch, efi system , fuel pump/relay, boiling fuel. Since I am an international buyer and I have no dealers in my country will I have major problems? Would the dealer install all the updates etc. when I buy it? I can't take the atv back to the US ofcourse. My dad owns a 08 Outlander max 500 and I own a 08 DS 250 and I am extremely pleased with the performance, but I wanna go faster >
Thanks in advance, I hope you understand what I mean haha, I just dont want to get screwed over when my DS450 stops working in this middle of nowhere country and I have to order goddamn expensive parts..

Just make sure the updates are taken care of....for real peace of mind tho I'd just buy an 09 or 2010 model...

Thanks, funny thing is there is only an 08 in stock for the deals. I will save my money then decide what I want to do.
