Re: Additional hoses needed on BCS coolant bottle relocation?

Hi I am installing the BCS modded radiator, and re locating the reservior with thier kit, which of course has no instruction of any kind. That all seams simple enough, however the stock overflow bottle has 2 hoses running into it, and the BCS unit has one.

I have replaced the Y like pipe on the left side of the engine with the BCS in line cooler, so that extra hose is now out of the picture. Does the Y pipe need to be re installed somewhere?

Which leaves the 1/4" hose that runs in to the T & hoses on the right side near the back of the fuel tank. Is that correct to leave in place, or does that extra hose running into the right front side of the engine need to be eliminated / blocked off?

I hooked everything up on a trial run with clear tubing to see what’s going on, and haven’t bolted the new reservoir in place yet. It seems to me like coolant is pumping in from both the engine & radiator on the overflow tubing. Maybe I over filled it, but I have been emptying the overflow bottle (not that it was full) but it seems like its still pumping coolant out. That’s why I am wondering if that extra hose to the front right of the engine is suppose to be capped or if I did something wrong? I can’t find any picture’s or post regarding this issue.

Any help would be highly appreciated; I am going to replace most of the clear tubing with black rubber when I have it dialed in because the rubber should be more durable due to chaffing, etc. Thank you in advance.

The tube on the right side of the motor will need to be blocked off. You can do this directly into the motor, or take a bolt, and insert it into the hose, and use a hose clamp to tighten it down. No leaks, and if you ever want to go back to the other set up for some reason, you can.

I figurd that was the case, but didn't want to proceed until I verified it.
Thank you!
