Valve spec with exhaust cam
Well i did a search on how to do the valves. Got the specs of them but i didn't find out what the valve specs need to be if your running the exhaust cam on the intake side. So if somebody could put up the specs that'd be great.
I know that this may be a dumb question also but i just got the can am and was wondering if doing the valves on this is the same as doing the valves on a honda?
Thanks

The clearance will be the same as with the stock intake cam.
I have never tore into a honda, so I am not sure how the valves are with them, Sorry!

Yeah intake the same
The honda has a unicam slightly different, no rocker or decomp setting so actually easier there, but now bot cams are timed seperate. Not hard just different.

hmm
The stock base circles have runout. Many ask why when turning the motor over the narrow lash setting keeps changing once they have set it, that is why. Base circles get sloppy when cam grinders do not let them spark out on the final passes. So a possible .001" inch or less is not enough open lash in an instant on the long slow sloppy base circle ramps for oil.

Valve lash specs stay the same , do not change as this also affects valve timing slightly
