race program questions

ok i am already in the race program.

i spend the $1000 on the mx shocks, axel,a arms. my dealer said i can no longer get 75% off on parts. is this true

is this a one time deal?

whats the deal on the ecm? yes i know they get rid of limp mode. does the ecm make it any faster.

can you aply to the race program in another dealer after six months?

thanks

as far as I know its a one time deal with the 75% off parts. This would keep people from selling parts and making money on it. The ECU remap from the dealer just takes away the limp mode but other companies Rossier, BCS, can adjust the amount of fuel to make it faster.

you should be fine with just pink-wire cut. If you install the FMI I would call HMF and see if the pink-wire needs to be put back together, some say yes and some say no.

Pink wire cut is fine with the hmf fmi. go to there web site and check out the settings for it.

The Owner at Twin Cites Can-am Dealer said "The race Ecm has a different fuel curve, different spark timing, and increases the rev limit along with limp mode temp raised... I really don't know if that's true or not.

I tried to apply to the race program a few months after i purchased my quad from a dealer and they both (the dealer i bought it from and a different dealer in another city) said it was something I had to have setup prior to picking up my quad. But if that is true or not is another question. I personally have had really bad luck on can-am dealers.

I got mine after I purchased my xmx. It wasnt easy though and I had to waive the money taken off of the purchase price of the bike. However it was nice to get the exhaust and computer along with the credit at the dealer.

i know a guy who apply for the race program 4 months later at onother dealer and got it.

i really think that some dealers are cheating.

i also notice that its really easy to fill out the race program. they dont check ID#s or age. but it more up to the dealer to help you or not.

my local dealer thinks i am crazy when i told them about the race program

brp is doing a great job in the race program.

cant say the same for some dealers.
