A) - no
- depends on manufacturer- contact PC for their recommendation...or someone here will chime in. Some companies have you cut it, some don't
C) - nothing else that you need to do, but there are always things you can do.

The PC or any other FMI is just a piggy back controller that modifies/alters fuel curve to your liking. It doesn't take over your ECM it just adjusts it.

Do a search for powercommander, pink wire, or race ecu and you should find your answer on the site somewhere.

hope that helps!

Gotta get into Buds and reset the throttle stuff. I will check out the specifics when I can get to the manual.

KK, got the info. If it's too small to read, I can just email you the page so it's a bit easier. The next page just says to ride and test in all RPM ranges. As far as I can tell, that's all ya gotta do when you change the ECM. It pretty much resets everything for your sensors and throttle body, etc. Let me know if you need anything else. Oh, and I have a PC5 and I put the pink wire back together. All works well.

Jeffo - i don't remember the instruction for the install on the race ecu ever talking about doing this? Did I miss something? I read in your attachment that you're supposed to do this when you replace ECM???

Confused now, cause I didn't do this part...i just installed the race ECU

I guess you would only have to do it if you are having the symptoms on the top right part of that page. I replaced my throttle body and I don't think it was far enough to throw off my sensors. But if it runs right, I don't think you would need to do it. However, when you get BUDS updated, you get your VIN# transferred over as well as some other data that is on your old ECM. "It has to be done while on the quad" is what I was told...
