How To : Wire Pro Armor type kill switch
This will be how to wire the pro armor in specific but will work for any type of switch that "closes" the connection thus shorting the circuit when the clip is pulled out.
First I tried it quick with scotch lock "quick splice" type connectors, don't use these, I tried for almost an hour to get them to work and take simple abuse and will not hold up. Go to an auto parts store and buy a pack of 16-14 gauge butt connectors (heat shrink ones will work best) .
Then remove front plastics, and locate the key ignition. On the ignition will be five wires on the standard american version that is. From the left they are black with red stripe, white/tan, orange with yellow stripe, black with white stripe, and black. You are going to cut the last two ( black with white stripe and solid black wire ) and splice about a 1/4" of the rubber off on both ends. Now take your kill wires and hold in place ( DO NOT INSTALL CONNECTOR YET! ) start it up and pull the kill, it should turn the DS off as if the key was removed, if not take your killswitch wires and reverse them on the harness wires. Make sure it works, then install a butt connector with glorious amounts of dielectric grease to the ends of the harness, closest to the ignition. then spin kill wires around the other end of the cut harness wires and putt those in the other ends of your butt connectors, crimp closed, reassure it functions and will not pull apart and either heat shrink or electric tape it all up.
DONE!
