Went riding today and looked at the back right hub and it had a grease rind around the inner part. So, took a further look and that 41mm nut was loose. It was held in place by that lock pin but, packed it up and came home. So, to get the hub on right, all I gotta do is take off that lock pin, re-torque it, and put pin back in? Will that press in and get rid of that gap? And, does this happen often? (wasn't too crazy with it, just mountain trails and all...)

That is the first time I have heard about a hub nut coming loose. They come loose all the time one other brands, but no can-ams. Make sure you get that thing tight, and it wont happen again.

heres what i did for my tool. worked perfectly.. feel free to use the idea

i was going to machine a bracket like the brp one when i had a great idea. why not just use some channel locks and a socket at the approx location the tool from brp is using.

so i simply welded a 1/2" socket (3/4 drive) on one of the arms on the channel locks and put my torque wrench in the socket and made it to spec. i think it was 8 bucks for the channel locks at lowes? and now i dont have another tool sitting around for the once in a great while it'll get used.. ingenuity..

Lol. they don't make 41mm sockets that are easy enough to come across? Maybe I will know what you are talking about when I go to tighten this nut....Couldn't you have just used a socket with the torque wrench? And I am assuming you didn't just use only the channel locks so you could torque it to spec?

maybe i chimed in on the wrong thread but my channel lock design is for the carrier nut. it has a 3 eared nut that draws the axle to the left and gets screwed into the rotor.. i bought a 41mm for the axle hub.. napa 11 bucks :x
