New to ds
Just picked up a new 09 ds 450 havent riden it yet snow is to deep( that sucks) looking forward to some melting.my son has a 525 outlaw i needed something to hang with him .my modified 400 sport wouldnt hang on the trails.my family and i ride alot in the summer ,some of the places are wayne national,haspin acres,badlands,big rock,perry state forest,we just like to have fun.thanks to everyone sharing their imformation about the ds450 very helpfull allready.

new ds450xxc owner
Hi all im also a new ds owner,one quick question.I keep reading about a pink wire that needs to be cut,were is it and why,is there a difference between standard ds to a xxc model as mine.thanks

The pink wire is for those who wish to add more fuel, when they change the exhaust and or air filter to a performance one.
The different DS models only have few differences, like tires etc.

The arms are different, steering stem is different, suspension is different. There are a ton of differences besides just tires

my sons 525 is not irs but very fast.not looking to beat him in drag raceing, my modified 400 sport is close in that respect, but is to heavy to keep up with him in the woods. i was looking for a sport quad found this new 09 ds 450 for 3999.99 i thought that it was a great deal looking to do some mild mods soon.thanks for all your imfo

wow what a price you got.I paid more but i got an 450xxc model with all the stuff already on the quad.i do not have to get anything.just some weather to ride in,still a mess here in newengland.
